A TYA (theater for young audiences) play, based on the book
My Broken Doll: A Memoir of Survival of the Vichy Regime by Beatrice Karp as told to Deborah Pappenheimer
Adapted for the stage by Ernie Nolan
Co-produced by the Institute for Holocaust Education and The Circle Theatre
The professional, 3-actor cast is available to perform for your school or group!
Schools in Omaha and within 30 miles: $300 (includes Blair, Gretna, Papillion, LaVista, Ralston, Bellevue, Yutan, Elkhorn, Waterloo, Valley, Bennington, and in Iowa - Council Bluffs and Lewis Central) 
Schools in the 30 – 50 mile range from Omaha: $550 (includes Lincoln, Ashland, Arlington, Waverly, Wahoo, and Fremont)
Schools beyond the 50 mile range: $1,000
My Broken Doll is on the Nebraska Arts Council's "Touring Artist Roster".
Grant funds for 2018-19 are currently available, on a first-come-first-served basis (covering up to 45% of the performance cost).
Additional financial assistance may be available upon request.

All performances must be booked at least 7 weeks in advance of the performance date.  ​

Circle Theatre Workshops


Circle Theatre offers digital (live) interactive workshops for your classroom, after-school program, or community event. Workshops are fifty minutes in length and are $50/session

The Dramatic Journey to Independence- This adventure will take students back to the time of the country’s beginnings and explores important events of this period through drama.
Fairy Tales (or stories) Alive!-
Students will write and act out short scenes from a book/story they choose.

Circle Theatre specializes in collaborating with students with disabilities. Circle Theatre has several ready-made plays perfect for students with disabilities. We
have the ability to work in inclusive and self-contained settings.
